Working with Gary Edmonstone, the creative eye and man behind the lens of Chasing Fireflies on his rebrand was an absolute treat. It’s always nerve-wracking when designing for someone who clearly has a great appreciation and understanding of beautiful aesthetics!

Gary came to me with a firm idea of the feelings he wished for his brand to evoke, but an open mind to the final visual representation of those feelings. Feminine, soft and simple, with just a touch of whimsy; it was important that the logo design didn’t come across as childish in any way.

Running with Gary’s love for calligraphy (and in keeping with the previous version of the logo) it seemed only right to work with a flowing, script font…albeit a much softer version than the original, to better suit the photographic style of the brand.

A single-colour watermark version was also created to be used over the photographs of Chasing Fireflies (not pictured).
